The good outweighs the bad (barely).

The friendly reception staff made check-in a breeze, and the location is convenient for travelers seeking easy access to local attractions.

But the lingering odors in the lobby and poorly maintained rooms left much to be desired.

The indoor pool was a highlight, offering a great space for relaxation and fun. Unfortunately, check-in was frustrating, with delays and a lack of clean rooms despite our reservation. The room had cleanliness issues, and it was disappointing to find leftover soap in the bathroom and an unclean pool area that left a lot to be desired.

Had a great time with friends! We really enjoyed visiting Space Center Houston and dining at local restaurants. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch for downtime after exploring. Just keep in mind that staff might be a bit understaffed and things could occasionally go wrong, but overall it was fun!

One thing to note is that the heat in our room wasn't working, and although I called the front desk, they didn’t resolve it quickly.

The local eats were a highlight! Tried Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen and it was a delight. The fresh seasonal fruits at breakfast were lovely. Staff were friendly and responsive, making it a pleasant experience overall.

Now, about the not-so-great bits, had a mini party with an uninvited flea crew, and breakfast could've had hot options beyond just waffles. My room near the front desk felt a bit echoey and less secure too.

We loved the convenient location near local restaurants and enjoyed spending quality time at the Space Center Houston. Plus, the flat-screen TV was perfect for winding down after a busy day exploring. Our stay was comfortable, especially with our small baby.

My kids wished the pool was warmer, and the indoor play area could use more toys.

Affordable yet avoidable stay

The hotel's location was convenient for my needs, and the staff were friendly upon arrival. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with stains on the carpet and a persistent odor throughout the building. I found the amenities lacking, especially the breakfast, which could use more variety.

This place suits me perfectly. It offers reliable wi-fi, a fitness centre, and a lovely indoor pool. On my first stay, the staff helped me find my way to my destination.

Not Worth It for Business Travelers

The complimentary breakfast was simple but perfect to start the day, with fresh coffee that got me going. I also appreciated the spacious room, it had enough space for all my gear, making it feel a bit like home.

It wasn't cheap, that's for sure, but still kinda acceptable.

During my stay at Wingate, I found the business center to be exceptionally useful. It offered high-speed internet access and printing capabilities, which facilitated my work tasks efficiently. The breakfast included freshly baked croissants and a good selection of organic juices, providing a pleasant start to the day. The staff was attentive and promptly addressed any requests, enhancing the overall experience.

The location sits nicely near local grocery and mall stores, making it convenient for families needing quick supplies. The availability of a gym, although small, offers a chance to stay active during visits.

Additionally, the cleanliness in the room left a lot to be desired. I encountered stains and unwelcoming odors that made it hard to enjoy the stay.
